How the Speed Run works
A word ladder against the clock. You get 2 minutes and a stack of short ladders — each one 3 to 5 steps from POOP. Change one letter at a time, make a real word every step, and the moment you reach POOP the next ladder appears.
- Par bonus: finish a ladder in par or better and win back 5 seconds.
- Hints cost time: each hint takes 5 seconds off the clock.
- Skipping costs more: 10 seconds, so only bail on a real stinker.
- Your score is the number of ladders solved. Your best is saved in this browser.
Race a friend

Speed tips
- Learn POOP's neighbors — POOL, POOR, PROP, PLOP, POMP, HOOP, LOOP, COOP — and aim straight for them.
- Type whole words instead of tapping tiles; Enter submits.
- Lock in the double O early. Most short ladders get there in one or two moves.
